Presentation of cheques to Northern Ireland Cancer Care, Glendermott Valley Industrial Park. Londonderry on Thursday 2nd. April 2026
£2835.00 was raised at a function in the Royal British Legion organized by Mr. Wesley Gamble, his wife Cathrine, Ms. Janice McCready, Mr. William Moore and Ms. Janette Simpson.
The Derry Masonic Fund generously donated a further £1000.00 towards much needed expenses for this worthy charity that transports cancer patients throughout Northern Ireland for treatment.

Provincial Grand Lodge Golf Tournament - 2026

This year's Provincial Grand Lodge Golf Tournament was held at Castlerock Golf Club on Thursday, 11th of June. The tournament received excellent support with almost 100 participants. At the PGL communication on Thursday , 18th June, W. Bro. Zane Cole wished to thank golfers, sponsors and volunteers on behalf of R. W. Bro. Raymond Eakin for a very successful event.

Annual BBQ 2026
Island of Inch Lodge No. 589 held its annual BBQ on Saturday, 15 August 2026, once again enjoying the generous hospitality of Bertha’s Bar, Castlerock, who provided their outdoor function space for the afternoon.
The event was expertly coordinated by Wor. Bro. Jason Jack, whose organisation and culinary skills were central to the day. He was supported at the grill by Wor. Bro. Ian Doherty. Appreciation is also extended to Wor. Bro. Chris McCandless, Lodge Secretary, for overseeing the wider arrangements, and to Wor. Bro. Raymond Lumsden for managing the financial aspects. Wor. Bro. Ivan Smyth provided musical entertainment and served as Master of Ceremonies, adding greatly to the atmosphere.
Thanks are due to all who assisted, contributed desserts, or donated spot prizes, helping make the occasion a memorable one. Around 100 members, guests, wives, and children attended and enjoyed an excellent afternoon of fellowship.
A total of £1,500 was raised, with beneficiary charities to be announced following the Lodge meeting on 25 September 2026.

Annual Charity Fundraising BBQ 2026
Letterkenny and Stranorlar Lodges were pleased to present a €2,000 donation to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA), representing the funds raised at their Annual BBQ.
The cheque was formally handed over to IMNDA representative Patricia, who expressed her appreciation for the Lodges’ continued support of the charity’s vital work. IMNDA provides essential services, care, and assistance to individuals and families affected by Motor Neurone Disease across Ireland.
This contribution reflects the Lodges’ ongoing commitment to charitable giving and community support.

On Thursday, 3rd of September 2026, W. E. Scott Memorial Lodge No. 554 celebrated a significant evening in the life of the Lodge with the presentation of long‑service honours to three distinguished brethren.
Bro. Norman Barnett received his 50‑year jewel and certificate, marking five decades of dedicated service to the Craft. In addition, W. Bro. Jack Boggs and W. Bro. John Boggs were each presented with 60‑year bars and certificates, recognising their remarkable commitment and steadfast support over six decades.
The honours were presented by the Provincial Grand Master, R.W. Bro. Grahame Harper, who was accompanied by the Provincial Assistant Grand Master, R. W. Bro. Alan Maguire. Their presence added greatly to the dignity of the occasion and underscored the Province’s appreciation for brethren who have given so much to Freemasonry.
The Provincial Grand Lodge extends warm congratulations to all three recipients and records its gratitude for their exemplary service, loyalty, and contribution to the Craft.
